More of Anneke's special friends! That's Biggie (short for Birgitte, she's actually rather small); Melena, Tomas' daughter; and her mother, Tina. And there's us with Biggie at the train station. She was a sweetheart; even let me drive her car on the Autobahn, which has many bridges with foliage growing over them (right). I could go as fast as I wanted, with no speed limit  (but with this little car where the motor moves when you

shift gears, I didn't go too fast). Biggie also turned us on to our favorite little town in Germany: Tubingen. Right in the center of town is this river traveling two sides of a grassy park, and the town itself is full of lovely old buildings and cobblestone streets. Left is the old Rathaus (sort of a city hall, has nothing to do with rats per se), about a hundred years ago, and as seen today...essentially the same but in color.

The church in the center of Tubingen is reserved for the Dead, as you see (left).

Bye, Biggie! Thanks for a great time!
